Maximizing Engagement via Custom Target Audiences

Specifying a Target Audience when generating copy in Anyword enables you to position your content, so it is more engaging to your specified reader.  Anyword will write your copy with their needs and pain points in mind, to capture your audience's attention.  You should be actively consider and select the appropriate target audience every time your write copy in Anyword.

Creating a Target Audience:

There are two ways main ways to develop Target Audiences in Anyword.

First, if your organization has already defined your target personas, you can simply go into your Brand Voice and manually translate your organizations target personas into Anyword.

Second, if you're still developing your Target Audiences, you may ask Anyword to reference your webpage or sample text to infer your Target Audiences and give you a starting point in defining your target personas.  After analyzing your site or sample copy, you can select the best matched Target Audiences for the suggestions and further customize them based on your organization's marketing and segmentation strategy.

Pro Tip!  The audience pain point are a highly impactful component the persona. Make sure your pain points are clearly written and encapsulate how your product or solution addresses the each Target Audience's pain/motivation. 


For example:

  • If your product or service offers or cost-saving solutions, consider the following format when writing out your pain points:  “cost” < “struggles to save money”
  • If your product or service offers offers solutions for improving marketing strategy, consider the following format when writing out your pain points:  “marketing strategy” < “wants to perfect marketing strategy”
